Maryland Locksmith Association use HID® Prox and HID® FARGO® products to create professional ID cards

The Maryland Locksmith Association faced a challenge with its outdated, easily forged laminated ID cards, which did not project a professional image for its members and made clients nervous about verifying a locksmith's credentials. To address this, the association partnered with HID Global to implement a modern, secure identification solution using HID proximity cards.

HID Global's solution involved issuing professional, multi-colored photo ID cards printed and encoded on a Fargo DTC300 printer. This provided members with a single, programmable card for access to multiple client locations, eliminating the need for numerous temporary badges. The results included a significantly enhanced professional image, streamlined access for members, and the ability to offer card printing services to smaller clients, having printed 200 non-member cards within two years.
