International Student Identity Card (ISIC) France implements rapid and robust secure card issuance for student ID cards

ISIC France, part of the non-profit ISIC Association, needed a rapid, cost-effective, and robust online solution to issue high-quality, secure, and multifunctional student ID cards for grandes écoles universities. Their key challenges included securely printing durable cards, encoding smart cards with encryption, and creating a scalable online portal for high-volume issuance. They selected HID Global based on stringent criteria and an existing relationship.

HID Global implemented its AsureID 7 SDK card personalization software and FARGO HDP5000 and DTC4500 printer/encoders to create a secure online portal. This solution allowed ISIC France to issue approximately 150,000 cards annually with significant cost savings and faster service, especially during peak periods. The durable, multifunctional cards serve numerous campus applications. HID Global's technology provided a scalable, high-quality solution, and the partnership is now planning to implement a mobile ID access feature.
