HID & NEDAP Provide a Long-Range Identification Solution for Perimeter Security at Eastman Kodak

Eastman Kodak Company needed to enhance perimeter security at its Rochester campus by identifying vehicles at long distances to control access to parking and loading docks. The challenge was to find a solution that was compatible with their new HID employee access cards and could provide hands-free, high-speed vehicle identification.

The solution implemented by HID, in partnership with NEDAP, utilized HID DuoProx II proximity cards with NEDAP AVI tags and Combi Boosters. This provided in-vehicle, hands-free access from up to 33 feet away, eliminating security choke points and improving safety. HID's solution integrated seamlessly with Kodak's existing security system, offering a scalable and flexible platform that met all their requirements and led to a successful global roll-out.
