HID Global Improves Classroom Attendance While Increasing Security and Safety with FARGO® DTC4500 Printer/Encoders and Asure ID® Software

Dayton Public Schools (DPS), an urban district serving 15,000 students, faced challenges with inconsistent and manual ID systems that slowed down the creation of student IDs and the processing of tardy students. Seeking to improve attendance and security, the district turned to HID Global for a solution.

HID Global, through its integrator PlascoID, implemented its FARGO DTC4500 printer/encoders and Asure ID software. This solution streamlined the ID issuance process, allowing DPS to quickly produce high-quality, durable IDs. The result was a 25-35% reduction in the time needed to process tardy students, getting them to class faster. The new system also provided greater versatility, with some schools using the IDs for library book checkouts and cafeteria purchases.
