Case Study: China’s Ministry of Environmental Protection achieves secure, centralized access control with HID Global

A HID Global Case Study

Preview of the Ministry of Environmental Protection Case Study

HID Global implemented a state-of-the-art access control system at China’s Environmental Protection International Treaty Fulfillment Center

The Ministry of Environmental Protection (MEP) required a state-of-the-art access control and passage management system for its new international treaty fulfillment center in China. The challenge was to find a stable, reliable, and environmentally compliant solution from a proven brand that could offer "relaxed outside, strict inside" security for managing both employees and foreign guests, with the capability for future network expansion.

HID Global implemented its comprehensive solution, including iCLASS® smart cards, card readers, and EDGE™ network controllers, integrated with a third-party "One Card Solution." The HID Global system centralized physical access, logical access, and various functions like time attendance and payments onto a single card for 3,000 users. This provided the MEP with a robust, secure, and highly manageable system that met all their rigorous requirements for security and expandability.
