Case Study: Anhui Wantong Expressway achieves scalable web-based access control with HID Global

A HID Global Case Study

Preview of the Anhui Wantong Expressway Case Study

HID Global deploys a web-based access control solution for central monitoring, access level settings and multi-applications at Anhui Wantong Expressway Building in China

Anhui Wantong Expressway required a sophisticated access control system for its large corporate campus, which included over 500 access points across multiple buildings with varying security needs. The challenge was to implement a scalable solution for central monitoring that could handle complex access rules, ensure high security for executive areas, and support future multi-applications like cashless payments. The vendor, HID Global, was selected to address these challenges with its access control products.

HID Global deployed a web-based solution utilizing VertX network controllers and iCLASS readers. This system enabled central monitoring, flexible access level settings, and offline functionality during communication failures. The result was a highly secure and intelligent building management system that could seamlessly integrate multiple applications on a single card. The project manager for Anhui Wantong Expressway cited HID Global's leading technologies and system interoperability as key reasons for their selection.
