HID Global Civil Registry Solution Powers Antigua and Barbuda’s Transformation to a Digital Society

The Government of Antigua and Barbuda wanted to modernize a largely manual civil registry and create a secure identity foundation for eGovernment and a digital economy. Its aging, paper-based records made it difficult to reconcile life events, avoid duplicate identities, and produce reliable vital statistics, while also limiting online service delivery. HID Global, working with local integrator Antigua Computer Technology (ACT), was brought in to support this transformation with a civil registration and vital statistics solution.

HID Global implemented HID® Integrale™ for CRVS, a system that digitized and connected life-event records, enabled secure identity verification for external stakeholders, and added mobile capture and automated notifications. The result was a more complete and secure view of citizen identity, better data protection, and improved reporting and vital statistics for planning. HID Global’s solution also helped the government reduce data silos, support more efficient transactions across more than 26 organizations, and strengthen the country’s digital transformation.
