A HID Global Case Study
The University of Bozen-Bolzano needed to replace outdated access control technology that was costly to maintain and difficult to support across its three campuses. It also wanted a centralized, self-service system that could manage access requests, approvals and revocations, while supporting multiple access systems and mobile credentials. HID Global provided the access control and mobile credential solution used in this modernization project.
HID Global implemented an integrated identity management platform with HID Aero Controllers, HID Signo Readers, HID Seos Credentials and ASSA ABLOY Aperio wireless locks, connected through the Flow4Secure platform. The solution enabled delegated access management, real-time updates, guest handling and smartphone-based credentials, and now manages 400 access levels for about 10,000 cardholders. It simplified badge administration and made it possible to create, distribute and revoke virtual credentials instantly from anywhere.
