Albert Einstein Healthcare Network needed to rebrand and re-badge employees across four hospitals, seven campuses, and dozens of care sites while also upgrading its aging Wiegand swipe-card access system. The challenge was to replace about 7,000 badges, integrate KRONOS payroll time-and-attendance, and do it in phases with minimal disruption. AEHN turned to HID Global for Genuine HID® iCLASS® cards, readers, and HID Identity on Demand™ Services.

HID Global helped AEHN securely produce and deliver the new badges, using dual-technology iCLASS cards so old and new reader systems could coexist during the transition. The project was completed on time and within budget, with 7,000 personalized badges issued in four weeks, stronger physical security, and successful payroll integration. AEHN also reduced annual card replacements from about 1,000 to fewer than 100.
