City College Coventry leads the way with converged security solution choosing HID Global’s Crescendo™ application with iCLASS®

City College Coventry, a further education institution, faced challenges with the lack of both physical and IT security, manual processes, and cash handling. They sought a converged security solution, which led them to work with vendor HID Global to implement their Crescendo smart cards and iCLASS readers.

HID Global's solution provided a single smart card for both physical access control and logical access to IT systems. This streamlined security, automated processes like library management, and enabled a cashless payment system for the canteen. The college was extremely pleased with the reliable, scalable solution, reporting positive feedback and plans to expand the rollout to all students.
