A HID Global Case Study
The Church of the Nazarene sought to enhance security and streamline registration for its 2005 General Assembly, a large convention expecting tens of thousands of attendees with a specific focus on child safety. Their challenge was to facilitate a fast and secure check-in process for a massive crowd while controlling access to restricted areas. To address this, they worked with vendor HID Global, utilizing Fargo DTC300 Direct-to-Card Printer/Encoders.
HID Global’s solution involved deploying the compact Fargo DTC300 printers across 20 self-registration stations, which allowed attendees to instantly print their own durable photo ID badges. This system produced over 20,000 name tags during the event, significantly speeding up registration and providing meaningful security credentials. The church reported that the photo ID badging successfully controlled access and increased parental confidence in child safety, with officials praising the printers for eliminating past hassles and providing a superior end product.
