Banco do Nordeste do Brasil reinforces the security of its administrative center with the implementation of iCLASS® smart cards and readers with the Corporate 1000 Program

Banco do Nordeste, a Brazilian state financial institution, needed to reinforce the physical security of its administrative center, going beyond the requirements of the Central Bank of Brazil. To protect its personnel and corporate information, the bank engaged HID Global to implement a high-security access control system utilizing their iCLASS smart cards and readers.

HID Global provided a robust solution featuring iCLASS R10, RWK400, and biometric readers, along with smart cards programmed through their exclusive Corporate 1000 Program. This implementation resulted in a highly reliable system with no availability or performance issues. The bank gained the ability to generate detailed access reports and now plans to use HID Global's solutions as a reference for a centralized access control system across its approximately 200 branch agencies.
