How iTech Media gamified its bob launch

iTech Media, a London-based online marketing and web development company with 166 employees, needed to make its new HR system launch stick with employees. Hibob’s Bob HR platform was being introduced, and the challenge was not just implementation, but driving awareness, adoption, and excitement so people would actually use it.

To solve this, Hibob and iTech Media turned the rollout into a gamified internal campaign: they created a “Bob Tule” character to spark curiosity before launch, then ran an “ACE Championships” launch week with team challenges that taught employees how to use Bob while validating their own data. The approach delivered strong results, with 100% of employees trained in one week and 100% platform engagement (aside from a few people on holiday), plus a LinkedIn post that generated 173 likes, 33 comments, and extra candidate interest in iTech Media.
