Three managed care organizations (MCOs) in a northeastern state faced the challenge of preparing their provider networks for a state-mandated electronic visit verification (EVV) system required by the 21st Century Cures Act. To ensure compliance and manage the shift from manual processes, the three MCOs independently selected vendor HHAeXchange and its payer management platform.

HHAeXchange implemented its solution through a phased statewide roll-out, which included a free provider portal and integrations for over 31 existing EVV tools to minimize disruption. This strategy achieved a 92% provider adoption rate. The results for the MCOs included a 64% reduction in claim denial rates, a significant decrease in fraud, waste, and abuse through advanced reporting, and streamlined operations with over 129 million annual confirmed visits tracked.
