Moving on from Google Private Channel to Hexnode MDM for smooth Application Management

Con-X-ion, a Queensland-based transportation company that runs shuttle and transfer services, needed a better way to distribute and update a corporate GPS-reporting app on driver devices. Their admin discovered that Google Play Private Channel was limited (Android-only and unable to target users or groups), so they chose Hexnode MDM for a policy-driven, enterprise app management solution.

Hexnode MDM was used to set the enterprise app as a mandatory app within a policy assigned to all devices, so any device missing the app is flagged non-compliant and receives a notification with a Play Store install link. Updates are deployed by adding the new app version to the policy, enabling centralized distribution, compliance tracking and faster remote updates—streamlining Con-X-ion’s app and device management.
