A Hexnode MDM Case Study

Motivate improves staff productivity by implementing Hexnode Kiosk, making devices work-specific

Motivate International Inc., a New York–based operator of nine major bike‑share systems, needed to lock down Android phones and tablets used by marketing and operations so devices would run only work‑related apps and websites, prevent social/entertainment apps and installs, and allow remote deployment of their enterprise app and corporate wallpaper. After evaluating major MDM vendors, IT manager Michael Passade selected Hexnode MDM, using its Hexnode Kiosk/Android Kiosk Mode features.

Using Hexnode MDM’s Android Kiosk Mode and Kiosk Browser, Motivate remotely whitelisted and pushed the City Bikes enterprise app over the air, enforced a work‑only kiosk experience, blocked non‑work sites and app installs, and applied corporate wallpapers. The Hexnode MDM deployment secured the device fleet, reduced admin effort through remote management, ensured consistent device configurations across Samsung and Nexus devices, and improved staff productivity by making devices strictly work‑specific.
