Sonoma County Public Safety Consortium Uses Hexagon Safety & Infrastructure I/Incident Analyst to Reduce Crime and Manage Resources

The Sonoma County Public Safety Consortium is a coalition of law enforcement, fire, and EMS agencies serving about 500,000 residents across Sonoma County that shares a single CAD and RMS. The consortium needed an easy-to-use analytics and reporting solution to fuse CAD/RMS and GIS data, detect spatial and temporal incident patterns, identify emerging hotspots, and better allocate limited patrol and investigative resources. To meet this need the consortium adopted Hexagon's Safety, Infrastructure & Geospatial Division’s I/Incident Analyst solution.

Hexagon's Safety, Infrastructure & Geospatial Division implemented I/Incident Analyst to integrate CAD and RMS feeds with Sonoma County GIS, provide hotspot and temporal mapping via an intuitive GUI, and deliver maps, reports, and hybrid documents for daily analysis. As a result, crime analysts can pinpoint drug- and gang-related activity, map offender locations, and produce custom reports that improved interagency collaboration, helped reduce crimes such as auto thefts, increased arrests, and strengthened grant and traffic-safety funding applications.
