Madhya Pradesh Police Improves Emergency Services with Integrated Suite of Public Safety Software

Madhya Pradesh Police, responsible for public safety across India’s second-largest state by area, faced no single emergency number or unified command-and-control system, forcing citizens to travel to stations or contact local officers for help. To modernize emergency response and launch the statewide “Dial 100” service, Madhya Pradesh Police selected an integrated public safety software suite — including computer-aided dispatch (CAD) and mobile dispatching — from Hexagon's Safety, Infrastructure & Geospatial Division.

Hexagon's Safety, Infrastructure & Geospatial Division implemented a centralized Dial 100 call-handling and dispatch system with intelligent mapping, an integration platform, and in-vehicle mobile data terminals in about 1,000 vehicles. The system now manages roughly 100,000 calls per day across 27 cities and 51 districts, cut urban response times to five minutes or less (down from 30 minutes to several hours), improved situational awareness and officer efficiency, and enabled future expansion to fire, rescue and medical services.
