Leveraging Hexagon Solutions to Unify Dispatch & Response Across Bavaria

Bavarian State Police, responsible for protecting more than 12.5 million people across diverse urban, mountain and rural areas, faced the challenge of unifying dispatch and incident management after consolidating 29 command centers into 10. To connect local police stations, support officers in the field, and modernize statewide operations, the agency selected Hexagon's Safety, Infrastructure & Geospatial Division to provide an integrated computer-aided dispatch (CAD) solution and web-based CAD interface.

Hexagon's Safety, Infrastructure & Geospatial Division implemented a single, virtual CAD platform with integrated mapping, radio interfaces and web access so command centers, local stations and emergency services share real-time incident data. Today 9 of 10 command centers are synchronized, the system supports roughly 1.3 million incidents a year, 280 local stations and up to 3,000 concurrent users (with 30,000+ authorized), and enables automatic incident creation and precise caller location—removing silos, improving situational awareness and speeding data-driven decisions statewide.
