HCR ManorCare Implements Point of Care Kiosks

HCR ManorCare, a leading U.S. provider of short- and long-term medical and rehabilitation care with more than 500 locations and nearly 60,000 employees, sought to improve patient care and increase profitability by enabling nurses to document treatments immediately at the bedside. To accomplish this Point of Care (POC) initiative, HCR selected Hexagon's Safety, Infrastructure & Geospatial Division to supply and deploy POC kiosks and related implementation services.

Hexagon's Safety, Infrastructure & Geospatial Division delivered a complete solution—3,500 wall‑mounted 17‑inch kiosks with integrated privacy filters, custom images pre-configured for the PointClickCare application, installation, wiring, training, warranty repair, and ongoing support—across 282 skilled nursing facilities. Hexagon completed the rollout on schedule and within budget, ensured CMS/HIPAA compliance, accelerated revenue capture, and helped HCR achieve a significant gain in average revenue without materially increasing monthly costs.
