Emergency Call-Taking & Dispatch Service Implements Interoperability Solution

ESTA, the Emergency Services Telecommunications Authority that handles call-taking and dispatch for fire, police, ambulance and state emergency services across Victoria (serving more than 5.5 million residents), needed to improve communications and data sharing between its CAD system and the five agencies it serves. To achieve real-time exchange of accumulated incident and response data, ESTA turned to Hexagon's Safety, Infrastructure & Geospatial Division for an interoperability solution.

Hexagon's Safety, Infrastructure & Geospatial Division implemented an interoperability solution built on its incident management technology, allowing ESTA to segment and share CAD data with each agency and receive real-time updates back. The multi-directional data sharing created a free flow of information that improved situational awareness and incident response capabilities and reduced response times for the agencies ESTA serves.
