A Hexagon's Safety, Infrastructure & Geospatial Division Case Study
Chiyoda Corporation, a Yokohama‑headquartered global engineering firm with more than 5,200 employees, needed to optimize construction labor management to create efficiencies, reduce costs and gain better visibility into global site operations. After developing the Field Labor Access Control System (FLACS) to track workers via IoT devices but struggling to visualize dynamic data, Chiyoda adopted Hexagon's Safety, Infrastructure & Geospatial Division solution, integrating Hexagon’s M.App Enterprise platform as part of FLACS.
Hexagon's Safety, Infrastructure & Geospatial Division implemented M.App Enterprise to deliver real‑time, map‑based visualization and analysis of employee locations, skills and man‑hour records, hosted on Google Cloud Platform for secure sharing. The solution streamlined mapping and monitoring of sensor and field data, improved on‑site awareness, safety and security, enabled hourly man‑hour tracking and workforce mobilization analysis, and delivered operational efficiencies that Chiyoda is validating on a large‑scale project and plans to offer to other EPC providers.
