Brasov City Hall needed to modernize public services and move away from paper maps toward a single, interoperable IT system that would improve transparency and decision-making across municipal departments. Hexagon's Safety, Infrastructure & Geospatial Division implemented a centralized geospatial database, an institutional data-exchange and a public web portal, integrating information from 36 departments and 10 subordinated public services. The solution streamlined workflows across city government, gave decision-makers up-to-date, accurate data without ad hoc requests, improved interoperability with other organizations, and delivered citizen-facing map services for planning, utilities, transportation and more.
