Zinfra Utilizes CAESAR II® for Detailed Mine Subsidence Analysis

Zinfra, a leading Australian utility infrastructure service provider, was engaged to design high-pressure pipelines on land vulnerable to future mine subsidence. The challenge was to conduct an extremely accurate analysis to ensure the pipelines could withstand ground movement and comply with stringent Australian safety standards, thereby avoiding costly future remediation work. For this task, they selected the CAESAR II pipe stress analysis software from Hexagon.

By implementing Hexagon's CAESAR II, Zinfra was able to rapidly create detailed models, eliminate guesswork, and pinpoint potential problem areas through features like color-coded stress models. The automated code-compliance features were particularly beneficial, saving an immense amount of time during the analysis phase and ensuring the successful completion of the projects. As a result, CAESAR II has become a selling point for Zinfra, which now plans to use the software for all future pipeline design projects.
