WEISS GmbH, an internationally leading supplier of automation solutions like rotary tables, faced a challenge with their time-intensive quality control process. The company needed to measure intricate cam drives, a core component of their products, which required separate runs on a gear measurement device and a coordinate measuring machine (CMM), creating a significant burden on time and efficiency. Hexagon provided a solution with two high-performance CMMs: the Leitz PMM-F and the Leitz Reference HP. Both machines, powered by Hexagon's QUINDOS software, functioned as powerful gear measuring centres, eliminating the need for a separate device. This integration provided greater flexibility, faster throughput, and automatic measurement capabilities.
