The city of Virginia Beach faced a significant challenge in managing its extensive portfolio of over 2,000 municipal properties. Hexagon's solution provided a unified, spatially-enabled platform built on Oracle Spatial, replacing the manual processes. This allowed various city departments to directly input and access highly accurate, real-time property data with granular user permissions. The implementation resulted in dramatically improved efficiency, with the city expecting to save six months of work annually. The solution also enhanced inter-departmental collaboration and provided secure, web-based access to critical property information for planning and maintenance.
