A Hexagon Case Study
Valeo SVA, a part of the global automotive supplier Valeo, faced the challenge of designing versatile and cost-effective micro-urban eMobility solutions. They needed a robust process to significantly expedite their development cycles to meet the industry's fast pace. To address this, they partnered with vendor Hexagon and its Romax software and services to adopt a CAE-led design process.
Hexagon provided Valeo with Romax software and engineering expertise for comprehensive simulation and analysis of their integrated electric driveline systems. This solution gave Valeo the confidence to eliminate an entire physical prototype iteration, relying instead on virtual testing. As a result, Hexagon helped Valeo achieve a substantial reduction in development time of 7 to 9 months, allowing them to deliver their new e-drive unit in just 18 months.
