Case Study: Tümosan achieves faster, more durable transmission design with Hexagon Romax Enduro

A Hexagon Case Study

Preview of the Tümosan Case Study

Tümosan use Romax Enduro to develop the next generation of robust automatic transmissions

Tümosan, a Turkish manufacturer of tractors and driveline systems, faced the challenge of designing a new high-torque automatic transmission that doubled the previous maximum torque while ensuring durability and minimizing noise. Their goal was to optimize the gear geometry to maintain their strong reputation for reliability and meet targets for transmission error. To achieve this, they turned to vendor Hexagon and its Romax Enduro software.

The solution from Hexagon involved using Romax Enduro for design optimization and CAD Fusion for integrating finite element models. This allowed Tümosan to efficiently compare thousands of design candidates and run high-fidelity simulations. As a result, Tümosan reduced its detailed design cycle by weeks, improved product quality, and achieved a 45% reduction in transmission error amplitude, leading to a quieter and more robust transmission.
