Tewer, a relatively young engineering company, required advanced measurement solutions for large-volume projects, particularly for the onsite inspection and alignment of massive heliostat panels in a harsh desert environment. They turned to vendor Hexagon and utilized their Leica Absolute Tracker ATS600 for its direct scanning capabilities.

Hexagon's solution provided high-precision, non-contact scanning from up to 60 meters away, eliminating the need for reflectors. This allowed Tewer to accurately position and align 32 individual solar mirror facets onsite with unprecedented speed and accuracy, a critical step in optimizing the heliostat's design and assembly process for cost reduction.
