Technic Training Center uses ALPHACAM to prepare the next generation of woodworkers for the modern workforce

Technic Training Center, a technical and wood-manufacturing education facility, faced the challenge of preparing a new generation of workers with the practical vocational skills needed by local industries. To equip students for the modern workforce, they needed access to relevant technology and sought a solution from vendor Hexagon.

The center implemented Hexagon's ALPHACAM software to program its CNC routers, using it as an instructional tool to teach students a wide range of computer-aided manufacturing capabilities. This solution provided comprehensive training in NC programming and gave students real-world experience by completing projects for the community. As a direct result, 37 graduates have been hired by 15 local businesses, demonstrating the program's success in creating a skilled talent pipeline.
