Swiss Border Guard Improves Coordination, Response & Efficiency with Computer-Aided Dispatch

The Swiss Border Guard, the largest national civil security agency in Switzerland, faced new operational demands and required a more closely linked structure to improve coordination with partners. To enhance its command support and incident management capabilities, the agency selected an integrated suite of public safety solutions, including a computer-aided dispatch (CAD) system, from Hexagon.

Hexagon implemented its CAD and incident command system across four command centers, creating a unified operational picture. This integrated system with thousands of devices enables real-time resource management, significantly improves coordination, and is expected to handle 50,000 events annually. The solution has boosted efficiency by lowering processing times and providing a common operating picture across different linguistic regions, with plans to expand its use to more departments.
