A Hexagon Case Study
Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich’s Institute for Forensic Medicine faced a challenge managing its complex simulation processes for accident research and biomechanics. The interdisciplinary team used 13 different simulation software packages, creating a massive amount of data in multiple formats that was complicated to keep organized, leading to potential human error and inefficiency. To address this, they turned to vendor Hexagon's product, SimManager.
Hexagon's SimManager provided a centralized, web-based platform to harmonize the simulation environment and automate processes. The solution managed data from all solvers, automated calculation tasks, and provided clear audit trails. This resulted in a significantly lower error rate, saved a huge amount of time, and allowed for the efficient management and traceability of the entire simulation process, enabling more reliable forensic research.
