Police secure global meeting with Hexagon management software

The Bavarian State Police faced the immense challenge of securing the 2015 G7 Summit, the largest police operation in Bavarian history. They needed to ensure the safety of attendees and citizens while managing a huge contingent of personnel and preventing potential violence. To meet this challenge, they partnered with Hexagon and utilized its computer-aided dispatch (CAD) solution and incident management software.

Hexagon implemented a comprehensive IT solution, including deploying its CAD system in a special operations room and providing web access for 1,000 users. This enabled the centralized coordination of over 18,000 police officers and nearly 2,000 operational units from various agencies. The Hexagon software facilitated seamless data exchange, integrated with digital radio networks, and provided critical situational awareness. The result was a flawless technical operation with zero system errors, allowing for faster response times and highly effective interagency coordination during the successful and peaceful summit.
