PECO, a manufacturer of the world's largest range of model railway track, required extreme precision in their mould-making process to produce highly detailed scale models. Their tolerances, often tighter than those in the automotive industry, were a significant challenge. By implementing Hexagon's VISI Modelling, VISI Mould, and VISI Electrode solutions, PECO achieved greater accuracy and efficiency. The solution provided complete CAD flexibility and eliminated regeneration failures, leading to a 30% reduction in design time. The toolroom CNC programmer saved even more time through efficient electrode extraction and multi-processor support for faster CAM calculations.
