Messtronik GmbH, a German measurement service provider, faced the challenge of analyzing enormous point cloud data from its various high-tech sensors (like CT scanners and laser scanners) and comparing it directly with tactile measurement data. The company wanted a unified system to process data from all these different sources without needing separate software tools for each measuring process, and they turned to Hexagon's QUINDOS Reshaper software for a solution.

By implementing Hexagon's QUINDOS Reshaper option, Messtronik was able to process all measurement data from its different sensors at a single workstation using a single program. This allowed for immediate 1:1 comparison, enabled the use of tactile measuring programs on virtual CT scan components, and decoupled measurement from evaluation for time- and location-independent analysis. The solution provided highly accurate results down to 2-3 µm, delivered considerable time savings and workflow efficiency, and equipped the company with a flexible, future-proof platform for new services.
