A Hexagon Case Study
The Bavarian State Police, responsible for public safety across Germany's largest state, faced a challenge in unifying its operations after consolidating 29 command centers into 10. The agency needed a modern, singular dispatch and incident management solution to connect its command centers with local stations and officers in the field. To meet this need, they partnered with vendor Hexagon to implement its computer-aided dispatch (CAD) system and other integrated solutions.
Hexagon's solution synchronized nine of the ten police command centers, enabling the management of over 1.3 million annual incidents. The integrated system provides a powerful spatial data platform for locating emergency callers and supports up to 3,000 concurrent users from 280 local police stations via a web interface. This implementation by Hexagon removed information silos, providing officers with critical data for faster, more informed decision-making to better protect the people of Bavaria.
