Kissendorfer - Customer Case Study

The customer, Wilhelm Kissendorfer OHG, faced challenges with older touch probe models from other providers that were becoming unavailable, expensive to repair, and time-consuming to maintain, threatening their production of high-precision components. This was causing unplanned downtime and inefficiency. They turned to vendor Hexagon and implemented their m&h IRP25.41 Chamäleon touch probe as a solution.

Hexagon's solution was the adaptable m&h touch probe, which could be quickly configured to communicate with the existing receiver systems from other manufacturers already installed on their machines. This eliminated the need for expensive retrofitting and allowed for seamless integration. The results included significantly reduced downtime, a flexible and fast response to crashes with on-site replacement often within a day, and enhanced operational efficiency across their seven machines, ensuring they could continue to meet their customers' high precision demands.
