Cambian Engineering Solutions, an engineered wood specialist, faced a challenge programming complex parts for their 4.5-axis router. Their machine's native graphical programming solution could not handle the complexity of their 3D solid models, which were essential for their work in architectural and engineering projects. This created a significant bottleneck in their manufacturing process.

Hexagon's ALPHACAM software, along with support from their Area Sales Manager, provided the solution. A custom macro was developed to automate the interrogation of solid model geometry and the transfer of data to the machine's post-processor.
