Groundhog, a leading manufacturer of sheet metal welfare units, faced manufacturing inefficiencies and errors after switching from Hexagon's RADAN software to a different CAD/CAM system to better integrate with their MRP software. The new system caused persistent problems, including incorrect tool selection in NC code, which forced the company to constantly scrutinize its operations and hampered production.

Hexagon’s solution was a full re-implementation of the RADAN CAD/CAM suite, which was now integrated with the new Radmanager tool. This provided the desired communication with their ERP system, automating the creation of nests from multiple orders to maximize efficiency and sheet utilization. The results were fundamental, with Hexagon's software driving their laser cutter, punch press, and press brakes, drastically reducing the risk of errors and enabling automated overnight production. The business now states it could not operate without the Hexagon solution.
