Hexagon's Romax team provided a complete solution, delivering a full gearbox design within six months through concept design, detailed analysis, and manufacturing support. The result was a highly reliable 3MW driveline that was successfully delivered on time and has been operating effectively in the field. Measurable impacts included a 14.8% better load sharing factor and a 28.7% lower vibration level than industry regulations, allowing NFAIC to quickly gain market share and subsequently scale the design up to 10MW for offshore applications.
