CEDO Succeeds on a Fast-Track Design Project Using CADWorx® and CAESAR II®

Collaborated Engineering Design Office (CEDO), a South African mining engineering firm, was chosen to complete the piping design for a major uranium processing plant with an extremely tight deadline. The project involved designing approximately 16 kilometers of complex piping for a $200 million fast-track project. To overcome this challenge, CEDO utilized solutions from vendor Hexagon.

By implementing Hexagon's CADWorx Plant Professional and CAESAR II software, CEDO efficiently created a 3D model for clash detection and generated over 1,500 certified piping isometric drawings. This solution from Hexagon allowed for real-time client review and minimized expensive site modifications, saving significant time and money. The entire design was completed by a small team in under nine months, keeping the client's critical project on track.
