A Hexagon Case Study
Bosch Rexroth, a manufacturer of high-precision hydraulic gear pumps and motors, required a metrology solution capable of verifying components with extremely tight tolerances as small as two microns to ensure maximum product efficiency. To meet these stringent quality control demands and support a strategic shift towards modular production, they partnered with Hexagon and implemented its Leitz Reference HP 5.4.3 coordinate measuring machine.
The solution from Hexagon provided the ultra-high volumetric accuracy needed for intensive gear and component inspection. The implementation of the Leitz Reference, paired with the new QUINDOS 7 software, allowed Bosch Rexroth to perform precise scans of features like tooth profiles and bearing pins, ensuring their quality requirements were met. This gave the company the confidence that their components were within tolerance, directly contributing to the performance and efficiency of the final power packs they manufacture.
