BENTELER Automotive, a division of a major automotive supplier, needed to ensure the precise camber angle setting on front axle modules for the Mercedes Sprinter without interrupting their tight production cycle times. They partnered with Hexagon and implemented its AICON MoveInspect HR, an automated optical 3D coordinate measuring system, to replace their previous measurement solution.

The Hexagon solution involved a camera on a rail that quickly captures 3D data from magnetic adapters placed on the brake disc and shock absorber. This enabled a measurement to be completed in under 90 seconds, seamlessly fitting within the production cycle. The results included significantly shortened measurement times while maintaining high accuracy, which optimized the production process and met the plant's strict requirements for quality and efficiency.
