Case Study: Beach Manufacturing Company achieves efficient nesting and offline press brake programming with Hexagon RADAN

A Hexagon Case Study

Preview of the Beach Manufacturing Company Case Study

Beach Manufacturing Company, Inc., harnesses the power of RADAN automation and nesting tools and Radbend’s job-planning functions for continued success

Beach Manufacturing Company (BMC), a manufacturer of parts for the truck, bus, and military industries, required advanced software to program its new laser cutters and press brakes efficiently. The company sought a solution that could handle a diverse range of custom and production jobs, improve material yield, and enable offline programming and simulation to reduce setup time and scrap. To meet this challenge, BMC turned to vendor Hexagon and implemented its RADAN CAD/CAM and Radbend software.

Hexagon's solution provided BMC with powerful nesting capabilities, allowing for programming at the part level to maximize material utilization and production yield. The Radbend software enabled offline job planning and simulation, which significantly reduced setup scrap and enhanced operator safety by identifying potential collisions virtually. The implementation allowed BMC to run its lasers for nearly 24 hours with lights-out production and provided critical support during the integration of new machinery. As a result, BMC achieved greater efficiency, flexibility, and a stronger competitive position in its market.
