B3D s.c., a Poland-based 3D scanning and service provider, sought to offer high-precision digital scanning for clients in manufacturing and quality control. To elevate their service quality and meet the demand for extremely accurate data, they turned to vendor Hexagon and implemented the SmartScan structured light scanner.
Hexagon's SmartScan solution provided B3D with micron-level accuracy and a fast, semi-automated scanning process using a turntable. This allowed B3D to drastically reduce inspection times and improve efficiency. The subsequent integration of Hexagon’s SLS-PW Plugin software further streamlined workflows by eliminating data transfer between programs, delivering faster results for customers and solidifying B3D's position as a comprehensive 3D service provider.
