Aurora Energy Integrates Geographic Changes to Simplify Workflows

Aurora Energy, an electricity provider owned by the Tasmanian government, faced challenges in managing its Requests for Asset Data (RADs) process. They needed an online tool to provide end-to-end management of these projects, improve visibility for internal and external users, and enable easy reporting. To overcome this, they turned to vendor Hexagon for a solution.

Aurora Energy implemented Hexagon's GeoMedia Smart Client platform to build a new, configurable RADs system. This solution provided dynamic forms with validation to eliminate errors, gave users role-based access to project queues, and enabled the team to react to emergency requests. The system also sends automatic email alerts as projects progress. According to Aurora Energy, the new system streamlined their previously complex, multi-step process, significantly reducing the potential for error and making collaboration between authorized users easier than ever before.
