Aircraft Philipp, a German manufacturer of structural components for passenger and military aircraft, required a high-performance quality assurance solution to manage the enormous diversity of parts in its production. To ensure the precision and safety of its components, the company needed a versatile coordinate measurement system capable of handling rigorous and frequent inspection processes without creating bottlenecks.

Hexagon provided its DEA GLOBAL coordinate measuring machine (CMM) equipped with PC-DMIS CAD++ software. This solution enabled efficient off-line programming, allowing technicians to create inspection programs without occupying the CMM, which drastically saved time. The implementation by Hexagon allowed Aircraft Philipp to manage up to 500 initial samples per year, ensured perfect traceability of evaluations, and facilitated seamless teamwork across different company locations.
