Zhejiang Engineering Provides Efficient Design For Hydrogen Sulfide Plant With Cadworx

Zhejiang Engineering Design Co., Ltd. (ZEDC), an EPC firm in China’s oil and gas sector, needed to deliver detailed 3D design for a complex hydrogen sulfide plant while meeting strict review requirements from JGC. To improve model accuracy, material accounting, and design-review efficiency, ZEDC turned to Hexagon PPM’s CADWorx Plant Professional and CAESAR II.

Using Hexagon PPM’s CADWorx, ZEDC independently built the database and 3D model, then transferred the piping model into CAESAR II for stress analysis. The result was more intuitive design reviews, fewer errors and complaints, and a 5% increase in accuracy from 90% to 95%, while modeling labor hours dropped by 20% to about 1,000 hours.
