Zarubezhenergoproekt Successfully Executes Pilot Project With Intergraph Smart® Electrical

JSC Zarubezhenergoproekt, Russia’s leading design company for thermal, nuclear, and small power plants, needed a more efficient and reliable way to handle complex electrical design work than traditional methods and legacy tools could provide. Vendor Hexagon PPM supported the company with Intergraph Smart® Electrical (SEL) and Intergraph Smart Electrical Detailed (SEL-D) as part of its SmartPlant Enterprise environment.

Hexagon PPM implemented a pilot project to build Russian-standard databases, reporting templates, catalog tools, and key wiring diagram workflows in SEL-D, while also validating data migration from SEL to SEL-D. The solution improved design efficiency, reduced human errors, enabled real-time data use and smoother data exchange, and shortened the time needed to make technical documentation changes at the design stage; following the successful pilot, Zarubezhenergoproekt decided to move existing projects and future pre-design work to Hexagon PPM’s software.
