Total Succeeds in Russian Arctic With Cadworx® Plant Professional

Total Exploration & Production Russia (TEPR), part of Total Group, needed to extend and modify oil production facilities in the Russian Arctic’s permafrost conditions. The team faced a major challenge because the existing facility documentation was only in flat drawings, so it had to reconstruct the entire plant, including piping and structural design, in 3D. TEPR used Hexagon PPM’s CADWorx Plant Professional to support the project.

With Hexagon PPM’s CADWorx Plant Professional, TEPR built a full 3D model of the facility, enabling accurate material takeoffs early in design, faster planning for long-lead items, and quick generation of spool isometrics and MTOs. The software also improved collaboration during project reviews and helped the company install pig receiving platforms and start up remote pad production on time. TEPR said the work was completed by just three specialists, and the resulting 3D model can now be reused for future expansions.
